Hobby Round up Week 37

Hey everyone, we're back!

After a quiet week with nothing to report, and some illness, its time to post some more hobby updates

Elliot has began work on some Nurgle Blightkings, I'm sure he'll see sense and put them on round bases soon enough.

Frazer has continued work on some Malifaux Ten Thunders for Dave, going for a vibrant yellow and blue scheme

And finally for this week, Big Papa has been beavering his way through his 15mm Guildball project.
The Fishermen are progressing nicely and the Butchers have just been started. They also have a pitch ready to play on once they are finished.

Hobby Round up Week 27

Hello everyone, its time for another update, in a week where the sun has shone and Wimbledon is in full flow.

Following on from Big Papas first 15mm Guildball sculpt, here's his second one, another Fisherman, this time Shark. We'll soon be able to play Guildball on the go!

After the arrival of the Coolminiornot Kickstarter bases, Simon has moved his Malifaux crew off plain bases and onto his new planking ones.

Frazer has managed to get some painting time, and has gone back to an old project, namely a Tzeentch Sorcerer on Disc.

Hobby Round up Week 17

A busy week of building models, with a little bit of painting.

We'll start with Simon who has been on a construction mission.

We have some Chaos Warriors, converted to Khorne using the left overs from some Juggernauts

He also managed to get some paint on some more Terminators

Some of our Guild Ball Kickstarter figures turned up, here are Simon's Masons, ball and goal

Simon loves a bit of Wild West action, his Salute purchases have increased his gang count to two

And finally a Doctor for Dead Mans Hand, another figure from Salute.

Frazer has been busy finishing off some more models for Dave, we'll hopefully see the finished package next week. This weekend as well as being the very generous taxi driver to Salute, he has been sorting out his Guild Ball figures, one team for him and one for Matt

With no Guild Ball figures to distract him Neil has been painting Soviets. The picture may be blurry but I can confirm that these figures will allow Neil to field a fully painted Chain of Command force.

And finally, Chris has been painting some Drop Zone Commander figures for Dave, and will have a finished set of pictures next week. In the mean time here are some Mortician Guild Ball figures that he has built.

Come back later this week for our Salute report, with so many pictures, you'll think you are there!

Hobby Round up Week 15

The Easter holidays are over, time for the kids to go back to school, and for those that were off, time to go back to work!

Therefore, due to the nice weather, a smaller update than usual this week.

First up this week; after watching them battling against the Vampire Counts this past Wednesday, Frazer has decided to put some paint on these Chaos Ogres. Trying a bit of pre shading, they are currently looking very good.

Simon continues his production line of painting with some more Crimson Fist Terminators, there are more almost done and we will hope to see a full squad next week.

After a slight colour change, Chris has been cracking on with some Drop Zone Commander figures for Dave. Two tanks and two walkers virtually done, and two more ready for their highlights.

Hobby Round up Week 12

It may be 24 hours later than usual, but the wait will be worth it!

First this week are some more pictures of the Nurgle Chaos Warriors that Neil has been working on over the last few weeks. Seven models are now there or there abouts

Simon has been busy again, not only with his own stuff, but with some Chaos Marines for Next Door Matt.

Simon has continued work on his Space Wolves and now has some more Terminators that are ready for the table top.

Si loves to build the models that others hate, and even those that they don't!

He has been recently been building Chaos Space Marines for Next Door Matt, with a Lord, some foot sloggers and a Rhino (not pictured) now ready for some paint.

Hobby Round up Week 11

Happy Mothers day!

Not a great deal of hobby to report this week.

First up, Neil has continued to plough through some Avatars of War 'Nurgle Warriors'. Having built them last week, now they have a white undercoat and in some cases a myriad of different inks

Simon continues to beaver away on his Space Wolves. His Terminator squad now has a few more colours on them.

Finally for this week we have Frazer's efforts. He continues to plough through the large amount of Dark Elf Witches he owns, but inches ever closer to bringing them to a Wednesday game.

Frazer has also continued to work on some Lonewolf Terminators....

... and whilst hunting through the garage, unearthed some of his Chaos Marine collection that will be hitting eBay soon.

Hobby Round up Week 10

Welcome to another visual feast of hobby updates!

First up we have some Wolf Guard from Frazer. Many years ago, we created a squad of Space Wolves converted to look like members of the club. Back then we were all in power armour, but now after taking part in many battles, the most decorated of us are being immortalised in Tactical Dreadnought Armour.

First up are Si, Neil and Dave.

Next from Frazer's work in progress pile is some Dropzone Commander vehicles that he is painting for Dave. As you can see they are resplendent in an urban camo scheme

Simon is next and contrary to the photos he is not a hobby vampire, just appears to prefer taking photos in the dark!

First we have some more Space Wolves, this time for his personal force.

Simon is our resident Bob the Builder, helping out those of the club who are unable to or prefer not to build their own figures.

This week he has been helping out Next Door Matt by constructing his Forge Fiend. He has gone the who hog by magnetising the head and weapons.

Neil, with a bit more time on his hands at the moment, has been working on some Avatars of War Corrupters, which are lovely models but a beast to glue together.

He has done a test scheme on one of them, using a white undercoat and a selection of different inks. For the observant of you, no that isn't the original head, but in fact a Heresy miniatures Blight head.

Oh and he also drew a face on a sqush... say hello to Sidney...

Finally this week, Chris has finished his first 10 Martians from Mantic Game's Mars Attacks game. He will go back to some of the bases in the future and add some trash, with ideas of how to do discarded fizzy pop cans top of his agenda.
