I've paused my German painting for a while and have moved on to painting some Skraeling for Saga.
We haven't played enough Saga since some of us first encountered it at Salute last year, hopefully, once the rest of my force are done we will play some more of this very good game
As these figures have so much more flesh showing than a lot of models I've painted recently , I decided to undercoat them white, not only to get a much cleaner and brighter finish to the skin, but also to allow me to use some older skin coloured paints that would struggle to cover a black undercoat in less than 2 or 3 layers.
You may notice that this first unit do not have any war paint, this is mainly due to me not being confident of being able to paint if well. I am worried that it will look too artificial and ruin the over all finish of the models.
I may be more adventurous in the future and may go back and some to these figures if it goes well.

Guards Guards
For the last three to four weeks I have been working on a vignette based on the novel Guards! Guards! by Terry Pratchett; in case it is not obvious or you have never read the novels. I bought a copy for my mother some years back, she is a voracious reader, and was looking for something different. In short she loved all the Sam Vimes novels, all the Granny Weatherwax novels and didn't get Rincewind so left him on the bookshelf.

Forces of Khador
Well, here they are...
A fully painted, based and completed, Warmachine forces of Khador army.
I took up this game last August, so within six months I've managed to compile around about 40/45 point army. Ive only played a handful of games, but its an enjoyable game with a decent mechanic.
I decided early on that, because it was not going to be a "main game" i wasn't going to go all out on the painting there are what i would consider "table top standard" but no more.
In all honesty, i cant say i enjoyed painting them, or putting them together. As a standard of model i would have to say they are the worst i have worked with in my short time in this hobby (nearly 5 years!!!) the plastic doesn't stick together all that well, the flash on them is awful and don't even get me started on the metal!!
Still, it is what it is, and here they are for you to have a look at......
Let me know your thoughts.

Good Life Gamer - February
Good Life
February. Firstly I would like to mention the passing
of Richard Briars (Tom in The Good Life) yesterday, a sad moment for his family
and British comedy.
January
sales worked out better than I expected and after costs I accrued nearly £75. Progress hasn’t been as high as I hoped but
then I have come to realise that my goals should all be halved to even stand a
chance of success.

33% more Mega!
The third Ork mega-a-like from Kromlech is posted
They also have a link to their Ebay page giving a price of $54.99 (£35.43 at todays exchange).
That's me out for definite. I'm all for alternative manufacturers but the product needs to be either
A) As good as or a lot better than GW
Or
B) A lot cheaper than GW
These are neither!
Half that cost and I may have stayed interested!
Any other views on alt-manufacturers?

BA baby!!!
Right it's been some time since I last did a post, admittedly it's been a while since I did some painting but then that's me.....I'm rubbish, that was untill Bolt Action grabbed me by the short and curlies and shoved a paint brush in my hand and forced me at gun point to paint some British.
Tester was done first......

Then along came the rest.....squad 1...

Panzer Attack
Another day another finished model. This time its a Panzer IV.
This only took a few hours to paint and completes my Bolt Action Germans for now, although I have a few additions in my head but they can wait for a while as I have other projects to put my mind to.
Next on my paint station are some Skraeling for Saga, as well as the beginnings of my Nurgle Blood Bowl team construction.
