Hobby Round up Week 24

Another Sunday, another hobby update.

Big Papa has invested in the world of Guild Ball and his first finished miniature is the Mascot for his Butchers. This isn't the official model, but is in fact a Dwarf Throwing Mastiff from Mantic Games

Chris has been working on a some Flames of War tanks for Dave, who needed them for a tournament he is attending at the end of the month. With a maximum of three weeks to get them done, he got on with it and the four Crocodiles are done.

Whilst working on the Crocodiles he has also been finishing off his Guild Ball Morticians; firstly their mascot Dirge, and then Casket.

Chris's Morticians are now just waiting for their bases to arrive, which at last time of checking were in Hamburg, Germany.

Simon has been building some more British, here is once of his Carriers, with roof off, roof on and towing.

Hobby round up 2015 week 4

Another week another hobby update.

Sadly not a lot to report this week, but here goes....

With Neil and Frazer looking at some Napoleonics this year, we have our first sighting of some French line fusilier figures.

Now there may only be three of them and they may only be white, but its a start on the slippery slope to a table full of the mass regiments of French we're all looking forward to in the coming months.

Next up are some American tanks painted by Chris for Dave.

Three Jumbos and a Super Pershing this time around ready just in time for Dave to take to his next tournament.

While painting the tanks Chris also started the long and arduous journey of building 90+ Night Goblins.

23 down, loads more to go, including 60 more spear goblins, a dozen netters and clubbers and loads of spider riders.

Hobby Updates

Another week has passed and we've snuck into November, so lets see what our club members have been working on over the last seven days.

Simon has been continuing to work on his Space Wolves. He has finished his Iron Priest and four Servitors to go with him

He has also began work on a couple of APC's and after a purchase from Bits & Kits has got a fully built Dreadnaught ready for painting.

Frazer continues to paint some In Her Majesty's Name figures for Dave and some Warriors of Chaos for himself.

I have finished painting some Flames of War tanks for Dave. I only realised I had some Stars and Stripes decals, after painting some by hand on the back of two tanks, but they turned out fine so they can stay.

Hobby Updates

Has a week gone by already?

First up this week, after the picture of a smashed Dark Angel base, is the creature that is now finished.

I picked up a Carnifex when Hobby Craft were having a clear out and had 33% off Games Workshop stuff; and after finishing most of my unpainted models, I fancied a change.
Whether this will lead to any other Tyranids, I don't know, but this monster wasn't the only thing I picked up cheap that day!

Since finishing the Carnifex, I have been working on some Flames of War American tanks for Dave

Lordybloke played his first game in our new Dead Mans Hand campaign, and decided it was as good a time as any to do some more painting on his Banditos. With three down six half done and plenty more undercoated, this is going to be one big Mexican gang

Zed continues on his Warrior of Chaos painting with more warriors ready for dipping. Hopefully we'll have a completed unit(s) for you next week.

Cortez is another Lonewolf who has his fingers in many pies. As well as building WW2 models for Zed, he is also painting his Space Wolves and 15mm British for Battlegroup.

The last of Dave's Yanks

Here are the last of the Flames of War Americans I have been doing for Dave.

A handful of Priests, a Sherman, couple of jeeps and all the bases of infantry I had left to do.

More Yanks for Dave

More Americans off the production line, this time with pictures taken in the sunshine.

Only a dozen or so bases/tanks/infantry left to do.

American Tractors

Some time back I sold all my 15mm WW2 Americans on eBay, most of it went over seas, but some stayed in the  UK, and more specifically Dave bought it... He would have bought it all, had it not been for a poorly timed shower...

Anyway, Dave's asked me to do some more Americans for him and here is the first batch, some tractors for his 155mm artillery.
