Hobby Round up Week 18

Its May already! Where is the year going?

Lets get started...
Simon has resisted the call of Destiny on the PS4 and continued to work on multiple projects.

After the delivery of Guild Ball teams for those who helped fund the Kickstarter, Simon has been the first to get some paint on his miniatures.

He has finished one player and has made a start on the majority of the team.

Not content with just painting some fantasy football players Simon has also been tackling his never ending supply of Crimson Fist Space Marines, this time he has started a Chaplain and some more Terminators.

Just when you thought he couldn't have possibly done any more hobby, here is the start of the 4ground stage coach for our Dead Mans Hand games.

Frazer has continued to work on several projects, here he have one for himself and one for Dave. Below we have some in progress shock markers for Chain of Command.

And here are some In Her Majesties Name figures for Dave

Chris has finally finished the Dave's PHR starter force for Drop Zone Commander.

All the walkers and tanks are magnetised so they can be attached to the drop ships during play.

Hobby Round up Week 14

Happy Chocolate Eating Sunday! Another busy week on the hobby tables of our club member's.

Frazer has been busy with a number of different projects, including some 15mm tanks and some 'In Her Majesties Name' figures. That pesky walker is built and now has some paint on it.

Simon has continues his painting frenzy with some more 15mm British for Battle Group...

...and a Sergeant for his Crimson Fist Terminators.

And finally, Chris has finished his to big units of Night Goblins, that include converted command groups and some Clubbers and Netters. All these units are missing are some Fanatics, which are half done.

Hobby Round up Week 13

I, Frazer Overlord of all, have been busy with Witches, cowboys, an industrial walker for IHMN and a couple of the Warlord plastic infantry to add to the British IHMN company and a Pegasus for Warhammer Elves

Unlucky for some?!

It's been busy on the Simon's workbench, anyone would think he's been off work 'ill'...

Simon has continued to build Next Door Matt's Chaos Marines; this week we have Terminators, Raptors and some magnetised Special Weapons.

Simon has also been busy paining World War 2 related figures at two scales, firstly the last of his 28mm Brits and then some more 15mm Brits

Neil has built some figures in anticipation of playing Lion Rampant, here we have six archers and six halberdiers

Chris continues to inflict hobby pain upon himself, he is currently painting a large collection of Night Goblins. The plastic figures are almost done, with just the metal, teeth, eyes and bases to do. The metal Netters & Clubbers and the Fanatics will follow.

Hobby Updates

Another week, some more hobby progress from the Lone Wolves. With all of us working on our £5 challenge models, its another quiet week but lets see what's been going on...

First up is Frazer, who has continued his work on Dave's In Her Majesties Name figures. If you look closely you can see his £5 challenge model in the background.

Simon has been busy on his Space Wolf Long Fangs, whilst building some WW2 British for Frazer, and some carts to use in our Dead Mans Hand campaign.

Chris has been busy finishing his £5 challenge model, to be revealed on Tuesday, but with a large package turning up in the post on Friday he now has a few more models to play with.

Most of the club have invested in various Kickstarter projects, the Mars Attacks project will keep Chris busy for a while. Pictured are all the models received; the giant robot isn't built yet, but you can get an idea of the size, and what you cant see is the flat bed truck and the mountain of ruined city scenery.

Hobby Updates

Another week has passed and we've snuck into November, so lets see what our club members have been working on over the last seven days.

Simon has been continuing to work on his Space Wolves. He has finished his Iron Priest and four Servitors to go with him

He has also began work on a couple of APC's and after a purchase from Bits & Kits has got a fully built Dreadnaught ready for painting.

Frazer continues to paint some In Her Majesty's Name figures for Dave and some Warriors of Chaos for himself.

I have finished painting some Flames of War tanks for Dave. I only realised I had some Stars and Stripes decals, after painting some by hand on the back of two tanks, but they turned out fine so they can stay.

Panda Cars of IHMN

I was looking for a suitable 'police car' for my In Her Majesties Name Scotland Yard force, and after much internet investigations, went for these beasts from Ramshackle Games.

They took a little while to arrive, but this could be that Ramshackle appears to be one bloke in his shed! Surprisingly they come in very few parts, just the hull, four wheels and the hatch. The moulding was a little suspect in some places, but nothing attacking it with a knife and a bit of Green Stuff couldn't fix.

So here they are; both resplendent in white, with a few police like markings. They aren't 100% finished as they both need machine guns, but I haven't been able to find anything I like yet, once I do I'll let you know

Evening All

Between painting things for Dave, I have also been cracking on with some of the models I bought at Salute this year; the last of which are my 'In Her Majesties Name' Scotland Yard miniatures.

I bought two boxes of these back in the spring alongside another set of models on a crime fighting theme, the 'Cops' for A Fistful of Kung Fu.

Because of the duplicate models, I added some additional facial hair to some of them, some of which came out better than others.

Firstly we have the Bobbies on the beat

Then Special Branch

And finally, The Good Doctor, The Consulting Detective, Chief Inspector & Sergeant
